Young Invincibles

  • Legislative Advocacy and Leadership

I served as a lobby lead during lobby days with Young Invincibles and Colorado Common Cause, guiding a team of 10 community members through the legislative process. This included preparing them to share personal stories that connected policy to lived experience, amplifying grassroots voices in support of voting rights.

  • Media and Public Engagement

To further drive awareness, I authored two op-eds championing the Colorado Voting Rights Act, one of which was published in The Denver Post. These pieces highlighted the importance of expanding equitable access to the ballot box and demonstrated my ability to translate complex policy into accessible narratives.

  • Youth Empowerment and Coalition Work

Beyond lobbying and writing, I contributed to building a youth-led policy advocacy network in Colorado. By training and supporting peers in advocacy skills, I helped create a foundation for young leaders to engage meaningfully in state-level policymaking.

Through these experiences, I deepened my skills in legislative strategy, public communication, and coalition-building. This work directly contributed to the successful passage of the Colorado Voting Rights Act, and I was honored to be invited to attend the bill signing at the Governor’s Mansion. My time at Young Invincibles strengthened my commitment to advancing youth political power and equipped me with the tools to bridge grassroots organizing and policy change.
